Product Update: H2'26 Release

Our H2’26 roadmap delivers intelligent features across every key stage of finding an apartment.

Finding a home is one of the biggest decisions people make, and the search has mostly asked renters to do the work themselves. Since launching in June, we have shipped eight new capabilities that take more of that work off your plate.

Here's what's new:

  • Together Mode, so up to four people can search for a home as one

  • A personalized summary and full cost breakdown on every listing, to judge a place at a glance

  • Check with property and Message Center, to keep every conversation moving

  • My Places and a welcome-back summary, keeping every part of your search aligned with how you actually live and where you left off.

Search with the people you're renting with

Most people don't rent alone, but most search tools are built for one person at one screen. Together Mode, now live, lets up to four people search as one. This is the first iteration of many to come, with the key core functionalities highlighted below.

  • One shared shortlist: Everyone sees the same places, with Kaleno's reasoning attached, so the best one doesn't get lost in a group chat.

  • Centralized notes and responses, ending the confusion of trying to match links to group chat messages.

Understand every listing at a glance

Comparing listings usually means opening each one and doing the math yourself.

  • Personalized property summary. Every listing page now opens with a personalized overview, how the place matches your preferences, and a checklist of questions and considerations for you.

  • Full cost breakdown. The pricing section now shows your total monthly cost, not just base rent, where properties provide fee details.

Get answers from properties

Knowing what to ask, and keeping track of the replies, is where searches stall.

  • Check with property. Kaleno turns a listing's things-to-check into a drafted message that you review and send in one click.

  • Message Center. Every property conversation lives in one inbox, with a digest email on what's been answered and where you need to weigh in. If you opt in, Kaleno can also help with outreach: asking questions, following up and summarizing replies.

Search that starts from your life

A home has to fit how you live, not just a set of filters.

  • My Places. Add up to three places that matter to you, like work, school or family, with how you travel and your maximum commute. Kaleno uses them in recommendations, search and map commute radii, so results reflect your real daily geography.

  • Pick up where you left off. When users come back to Kaleno, they're now greeted with a summary of what's changed since the last visit so they can get straight to what's important and new, without having to search through for it.

Each of these updates is designed to make apartment hunting feel less like work and more like having an expert working alongside you. Whether you're coordinating with roommates, evaluating costs, or mapping out your daily commute, Kaleno continues to evolve to support the way people actually rent.
